🇺🇸 Turion Space has secured a $1.9 million contract from SpaceWERX, the U.S. Space Force’s technology arm, to develop an autonomous spacecraft docking and maneuvering system. The contract aims to advance technologies for engaging uncooperative space objects and facilitating the deorbit of inactive satellites.

🇮🇱 Gilat Satellite Networks reported that it has recently secured more than $14 million in orders from service providers and system integrators for its in-flight connectivity (IFC) products and solutions. 
These include orders for network equipment, solid state power amplifiers (SSPAs), and additional IFC auxiliary products.

🇩🇪 🇦🇹 The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Exolaunch GmbH (Exolaunch) have announced an opportunity for up to two 1U-3U CubeSats cube satellites (CubeSats) to be deployed into space with the Exolaunch EXOpod deployment system. This will include necessary technical support for the awardees.

🇺🇸 The Bavarian State Chancellery signed a letter of intent with the Houston-based company Axiom Space to collaborate on space exploration activities to include a possible future human spaceflight. The letter of intent envisages opening up the possibilities of sustainable access to space for Bavaria in the future.

🇦🇺 Spiral Blue announced its key partnership in LatConnect 60 Ltd's SWIRSAT mission, which aims to deliver high-resolution SWIR data with a resolution at least five times better than current market standards.
This advancement is set to significantly improve the accuracy and effectiveness of methane and other emissions measurements, initially targeting the oil and gas sector.
The mission is crucial for the development of the LatConnect 60 constellation and fostering collaboration with the Australian Space Agency and partners from Australia and India.

🚀 LAUNCH CONTRACTS AND MISSIONS

🇦🇪 🇺🇸 Emirati satellite operator Yahsat has selected SpaceX to launch a pair of geostationary communications satellites that are part of a $1.1 billion program.
Yahsat announced July 1 that it chose SpaceX to launch its Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5 satellites in 2027 and 2028, respectively, on Falcon 9 rockets. The companies did not disclose the value of the launch contract.

🇯🇵 Japan’s H3 rocket successfully launched an Earth observation satellite Sunday on its third flight.
The H3 rocket lifted off from the Tanegashima Space Center at 11:06 p.m. Eastern, June 30 (0306 UTC, July 1) carrying the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-4 (ALOS-4), also known as DAICHI-4.
The two-stage launch vehicle flew as planned and ALOS-4 separated at approximately 16 minutes and 34 seconds after the liftoff, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced

🇨🇳 A rocket stage test firing by Chinese commercial company Space Pioneer ended in catastrophic failure and a dramatic explosion Sunday.
Space Pioneer conducted what was intended to be a static-fire test of the first stage of its Tianlong-3 launch vehicle at a test facility in Gongyi country, Henan province, Sunday, June 30.

🇺🇸 🇩🇪 European weather satellite operator Eumetsat has shifted the upcoming launch of a weather satellite from an Ariane 6 to a Falcon 9, a move that surprised and frustrated European space officials.
In a statement late June 28, Eumetsat said the Meteosat Third Generation-Sounder 1 (MTG-S1) geostationary weather satellite will now launch on a Falcon 9 in 2025. The spacecraft was planned to launch as soon as early 2025 on an Ariane 6.

🇺🇸 SpaceX successfully launched the NROL-186 mission for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 11:14 p.m. Eastern from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
This mission marked the deployment of the second batch of satellites for a new imaging satellite constellation jointly developed by SpaceX and Northrop Grumman. The exact number of satellites launched was not disclosed

🇨🇳China on Saturday successfully sent a new satellite into space from the Wenchang Space Launch Site on the coast of southern island province of Hainan. 
The satellite, Zhongxing-3A, was launched at 7:57 p.m. (Beijing Time) by a modified version of the Long March-7 carrier rocket and entered the planned orbit successfully. 
Designed as a communication and broadcasting satellite, the satellite will provide voice, data, radio and television transmission services.

🇲🇾 🇮🇳 MEASAT Global Berhad has signed an agreement with Sun TV Network Limited, one of India’s largest media conglomerates, to support the distribution of 37 TV channels via the MEASAT-3d satellite.

🇺🇸 NASA and SpaceX are examining how to alter the Dragon spacecraft’s reentry process to limit the amount of debris from the spacecraft’s trunk section that reaches the ground.
On several occasions, debris from trunk sections of Dragon spacecraft, which are jettisoned from the capsule before the capsule performs a deorbit burn, have been found on land
