Satellite launch service company Isar Aerospace today announced a significant extension of its Series C round by more than EUR 65m, now totaling more than EUR 220m. The extension received a strong commitment from NATO Innovation Fund (NIF)
Other new investors in the extension round included the European family office G3T as well as 10x Group, Besant Capital, Finadvice Med HOLDINGS and LP&E. Existing investors Lakestar, Earlybird, Airbus Ventures, Bayern Kapital and UVC Partners also participated significantly in the extension round.

LAGO Innovation Fund (LAGO), a private credit fund supporting high-growth companies across key industry sectors, announces that it has facilitated an $8 million investment in ExoTerra Resource, producer of microsatellite solar electric propulsion systems specializing in Hall thrusters, power distribution, propellant distribution, solar arrays and space mechanisms.

Planet recently expanded its contract with the Government of New South Wales, Australia (NSW) through partner NGIS to support crisis response and urban planning and biodiversity management. NSW has been an early adopter of Planet data, using it for critical applications such as flood disaster responsewater resource management, and wildfire response.

Ursa Space Systems announced a new partnership with NEC Corporation, a Japanese multinational information technology and electronics firm, to offer data services in Japan utilizing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery.
The collaboration announced June 20 combines NEC’s existing monitoring service, which leverages SAR images, with Ursa Space’s “virtual constellation” of satellite data partners.

Astrolight has concluded a significant milestone by completing the Critical Design Review (CDR) for the company’s ATLAS-1 Space-to-Earth laser communication on-orbit demonstration mission.
ATLAS, the Space-to-Earth laser communication terminal developed by Astrolight, is geared toward efficient downlink of data generated in space. This is especially important in the Earth observation sector, where vast amounts of data, often termed Big Earth Data, are collected.

🚀 LAUNCH CONTRACTS AND MISSIONS

Rocket Lab reached the milestone 50th launch of its Electron rocket in record time.
The mission, which Rocket Lab named "No Time Toulouse," is carrying five satellites for Kinéis, an Internet of Things (IoT) satellite connectivity provider. The satellites were deployed in a precise sequence, one after the other, with deployment completed today by about one hour and six minutes after launch as planned.

Starlab Space has added Palantir Technologies as a strategic partner, seeking to use its artificial intelligence capabilities to support station operations.
Under the agreement, the companies will use Palantir software to develop a digital twin, or software-based model, of the Starlab station. That digital twin will be used to optimize operations of the station, detect potential issues and identify preventative maintenance.

Space Forge has been awarded almost £8 million from the Space Clusters Infrastructure Fund (SCIF) administered by the UK Space Agency.‍
With a total project value of £13 million, which will be reached through match contributions, this significant investment will enable Space Forge to establish a first-of-its-kind National Microgravity Research Center – driving advanced material research and production while fostering the growth of Wales’ space sector.
