🇦🇹 🇩🇪 Gate Space announces successful test for Exploration Company
Gate Space announces the successful completion of an advanced test stand project for The Exploration Company.
In September 2023, The Exploration Company and GATE Space started to design and develop a comprehensive test stand for the Mistral thruster. The project was completed and handed over at the end of May 2024. The advanced test stand now enables The Exploration Company to conduct in-house development and testing of their Mistral thruster technology for Nyx Earth.

Dhruva Space is pleased to announce a collaboration with a leading Singaporean Space semiconductor manufacturer Zero-Error Systems (ZES) to advance the capabilities of its On-Board Computer (OBC) subsystem. Dhruva Space will leverage ZES’ highly efficient LDAP-IC-ZES100 in Dhruva Space’s OBC for upcoming missions to protect (Commercial-off-the-Shelf) electronics from radiation-induced micro-SEL/SEL.

🇹🇷 Turkey’s Plan-s announces investment
Plan-s announced a significant equity funding round. This move comes as the Turkish company seeks to raise up to $40 million, placing the company’s valuation at $400 million. The investment round is led by the investment arm of Turkey’s state-run Ziraat Bank, targeting both institutional and individual investors within Turkey and internationally.

Planet Labs announced that their SkySat data has been leveraged by the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom’s Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), to enhance urban planning initiatives nationwide. In collaboration with Planet Labs, Aetosky (formerly known as SkyMap Global) has implemented an advanced urban planning system. #This turnkey solution integrates AI-enabled change detection technology with Planet’s high-resolution satellite imagery, exemplifying a sophisticated approach to modern urban management.

🇺🇸 🇫🇷 Airbus receives contract from CNES for C²OMODO mission
Airbus has been selected by the French Space Agency (CNES) to design and build two new generation microwave radiometers as part of the French contribution to the Atmosphere Observing System (AOS): the C²OMODO mission (Convective Core Observations through MicrOwave Derivatives in the trOpics).
A cooperation between the United States, Canada, Japan, Italy and France, AOS’ goal is to optimise how we examine links between aerosols, clouds, atmospheric convection and precipitation. Encompassing six satellites as well as suborbital platforms in the air and on land, it will provide key data for improved forecasts of weather, air quality and climate.

Space data company Pixxel on Tuesday announced the launch of Aurora, an Earth Observation (EO) studio developed in-house by the company.
Pixxel, which works with hyperspectral earth imaging technology, is pitching Aurora as a platform that offers an intuitive analysis of satellite imagery. Aurora can redefine how remote sensing user groups access, interpret, and leverage EO data.

ispace, a Tokyo-based lunar exploration company, announced it has entered into a consulting agreement with Komatsu, a global construction and mining equipment leader. This partnership aims to advance the development of construction machinery designed for the Moon’s challenging environment.

🇺🇸 🇸🇪 Ovzon receives contract from U.S Department of Defense
Ovzon has received, through Viasat Government Services, its first order for Ovzon Pegasus service on the new Ovzon 3 satellite. This represents the transition from current Ovzon SATCOM-as-a-Service delivered to the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DOD) using leased satellite capacity to now utilizing Ovzon 3. The order is for twelve months and the service was activated on August 1, 2024. The order value amounts to approximately 6.2 MUSD.

🇮🇳 Azista Aerospace receives authorisation from Indian space regulator
IN-SPACe authorises Azista BST Aerospace to setup, operate ground station
With this authorisation, Azista BST Aerospace will support its satellites and provide Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) for Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C) operations and data reception from remote sensing satellites to Indian and international customers, the space regulator said in a media statement.

🇱🇰 🇺🇸 Starlink receives regulatory approval in Sri Lanka
Starlink will be able to offer satellite broadband services in Sri Lanka, a country in South Asia with a population of around 22 million people. The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has issued a service provider license to Starlink, which means Starlink can now offers its broadband services to customers in this market. The announcement was made on Aug. 13.
